Q. How old were you when you began playing your sports? Any special memories you would like to share?

A. I was 4 years old when I started playing soccer and 18 when I started playing lacrosse. Growing up I played on an all-boys soccer team until I was 13 years old; that team shaped me into the competitive and aggressive player I am today.

Q. What made you choose Purchase College?

A. I chose Purchase College because it gave me the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love at a high caliber level.

Q. What year did you start playing your soccer and lacrosse at Purchase?

A. Freshman year. (2016-17)

Q. Highlights from your career? Awards/accolades received at Purchase?

A. Some highlights from my soccer career at Purchase were being named Captain and scoring three goals this season, scoring the game-winning goal against Sarah Lawrence my sophomore year after coming out of an injury, and earning a spot on the Skyline Honor Roll twice.

Some highlights from my lacrosse career at Purchase would be recording 14 ground balls, three caused turnovers and 79 saves my junior season and having an undefeated senior season with two ground balls and one caused turnover.

Q. What is your most memorable moment as a Panther?

A. My most memorable moment as a Panther would have to be winning my senior game with my best friends and being able to celebrate with them one last time on our home field.

Q. What is the best advice a coach at Purchase gave you?

A. The best advice I’ve ever gotten from one of my coaches at Purchase was to let go of the mistakes I’ve made and focus on what you could be doing better the next play. This has helped stay focused and not get in my own head.

Q. What is the most difficult part about being a student-athlete?

A. I would have to say the most difficult part about being a student-athlete is time management. It’s hard to find the right balance between sleep, class, work, sports and friends, but you can always make it work.

Q. What motivates you to succeed both on and off the field?

A. My motivation to succeed on and off the field stems from me always wanting to better myself and be able to show my teammates and family that I am always striving to be better than I was yesterday, not only as an athlete but also as a student and person. My parents have always been my biggest support system and couldn’t be more grateful to them for pushing me like they do.

Q. What is your Senior Project?

A. The Gender Gap: A Historical Analysis of Women in Sports

Q. How has your Senior Project been impacted by COVID-19?

A. Thankfully, my Senior Project was not affected by COVID-19 because I submitted it in the Fall of 2019.

Q. What does post-graduation life look like for you? (travel, work, grad school, etc.)

A. I have taken a job at my high school as a Para Professional for the fall of 2020, but I also plan to travel a lot with my friends before going to grad school.

Q. What advice would you give to incoming freshman about being a student-athlete at Purchase College?

A. Utilize what our athletic department has to offer and become a student worker. Take advantage of every opportunity you have as a student athlete. Be smart you are the face of our program. Never take anything for granted, you never know when it will be your last time on the field. Enjoy these four years, they go by fast.

Q. What will you miss most about Purchase College?

A. What I’ll miss most about Purchase College is living with my best friends for 4 years and sharing every moment with these special people. Shout out to Ashley Blom, Amber Yarter, Brett Robison, Breann McKeon, Brittany Esposito and Kelly Hayes you made my college experience special and I love you all.
