Jazz Program featured at ArtsWestchester’s JazzFest

Purchase faculty and students will be featured at three events during ArtsWestchester’s annual JazzFest.

A partnership between ArtsWestchester, the City of White Plains and the White Plains BID, Jazz Fest has become a signature White Plains event of free and affordable jazz performances attracting jazz enthusiasts from throughout Westchester County and beyond.

On Wednesday, September 12, Vocal Jazz instructor, Alexis Cole, will be featured as part of the Downtown White Plains Jazz Stroll at Morton’s Steak House at 7pm.

On Friday, September 14, Head of Jazz Studies Pete Malinverni  will lead a Jazz Jam along with leaders of local music schools at ArtsWestchester. This jam session is open to all musicians. Tickets and more information can be found here.

On Sunday, September 16, Pete and the SUNY Purchase Jazz All-Stars will kick off the main stage at the White Plains Jazz and Food Festival on Mamaroneck Avenue. Recently awarded Best Jazz Festival by Westchester Magazine, Jazz Fest offers concerts at a variety of White Plains venues throughout the week.
