Banned Books Week: September 24-30, 2017
The Library’s first floor display showcases classics of United States literature that have perennially been banned for their unorthodox and unpopular ideas.
Each year, Banned Books Week (Sept. 24-30, 2017) highlights the value of free and open access to information, bringing together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express all ideas. The Library’s first floor display showcases classics of United States literature that have perennially been banned for their unorthodox and unpopular ideas. Check them out, join in the celebration, and exercise your right to read!
