Equipment Installation

Any department wishing to purchase or install any new or replacement equipment (other than typewriters, personal calculators, etc.) should consult with and receive the approval of Facilities Management prior to the purchase or installation.

The purpose is to avoid a situation where a problem exists that prohibits the installation of that particular item, (i.e., excessive floor load, violation of fire code, insufficient electrical power, improper rigging, interruption of services, etc.) or require that another location be chosen.
