My internship with NYPIRG was very educational and inspirational. I worked on a number of NYPIRG’s campaigns such, but a lot of my work focused on the Environmental Protection and Higher Education campaign. I petitioned, phone banked, tabled, and even lobbied for these campaigns. It allowed me to get a look into the world of grassroots advocacy. The work for this internship let me be proactive in today’s current issues and made me feel like I made a difference in things I was passionate about. It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed working on these campaigns.
