My summer at Tuxedo Country Club required me to work at the boathouse on Tuxedo Lake. My duties included monitoring members’ boats that were docked here, as well as maintain the boathouse itself, monitor water quality, and provide weekly fishing reports. The lake itself was stunning. Abundant wildlife everywhere you looked, and the fishing also proved to be spectacular. I was privileged to be able to take out the skiff that belonged to the club in order to conduct these fishing surveys. Along with the awesome job I had, I also got to meet a lot of amazing people. I lived in the employee housing at Tuxedo Country Club, along with other interns from New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, and even Holland and the Philippines! My internship at Tuxedo was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
