These kids are anything but bubble blowin’ babies. Purchase students find that temp has no direct effect on dissolved oxygen in Blind Brook.

Students Jeff, James, and Ryan plunged deep into the question of what it is that causes increased dissolved oxygen levels in water along Blind Brook, here at goo’ ol’ purch. Kind of like the polar plunge… but you know, more scientific. 10 long, painstaking days of measuring the dissolved oxygen levels and temperature of Blind Brook and what they found was exactly what normally happens when you first do an experiment; a boring trend that’s really not exactly what you were going for. Sucks how that always seems to happen, but their work was not for nothing. The group of dedicated lads gained the valuable insight that temperature does not seem to be a factor that is directly correlated with dissolved oxygen levels. It also seems to them that pH is something worth investigating in future studies fo’ sho’. It’s this kind of reflecting upon experiments that has allowed scientists to gain the knowledge that we have now.
