Program Learning Outcomes
By the time students complete the program, they will be able to:
- Demonstrate that they have satisfied the pre-requisites for graduate programs in Medical or Health Science.
- Critically analyze data and ideas—graduates will be able to locate, review, evaluate and thoughtfully critique information from professional journals and lay literature.
- Demonstrate mastery of the material and explain science to others through their writing and speaking skills.
- Understand and apply core concepts in science to an extent that will allow them to be competitive.
- Demonstrate technical laboratory skills— trained in a variety of laboratory experiments including the use of equipment and appropriate safety protocols, so that they can add new skills efficiently.
- Reason quantitatively and have a good understanding of statistics—performing and understanding calculations is an integral part in the scientific world.
- Demonstrate motivation to apply foundational scientific concepts to health care.
