Accelerated Pathway with MA in Arts and Cultural Management
Earn graduate credit as an undergraduate and complete a combined BA and MA degree in 5 years.
Students in the Global Studies BA program have the opportunity to earn their BA and MA in Arts and Cultural Management in 5 years through our combined program. Students accepted into this program may take up to 12 graduate credits starting in their junior year of undergraduate study, which can be applied to both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Students pursing this option can express interest in their sophomore year and must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this opportunity. Interested students can reach out to Arts and Cultural Management Department Chair, Jordan Shue, Jordan.Shue@purchase.edu for more information.
Pathway starts in a students’ junior year. Example of combined Global Studies BA and Arts and Cultural Management MA pathway below with graduate-level courses in bold:
Notes:
- Students who start completing graduate credit in the first semester of their senior year must complete 2 graduate courses each semester (total of 4) in order to complete the combined degree in 5 years.
- Students who start completing graduate credit in the second semester of their senior year will need to complete an extra semester or two beyond the standard 5-year program.
