Erin Geary

Erin Geary is an English teacher at Valhalla High School. She has a B.S. from SUNY New Paltz and a M.S.Ed. from SUNY Brockport. Erin has studied under award-winning poets through the “In Surreal Life” workshop and has published two collections of personal essays: The Island (2021) and Hindsight (2019). Additionally, she hosts Hivemind: A Pop Culture Podcast, where she writes and delivers longform music, film, and fashion criticism. Previously, Erin instructed the Teen Writers Institute, through the Hudson Valley Writing Project. Students describe her classes as interactive, creative, and welcoming.
