Annan portrays a genderfluid strip club owner in the groundbreaking role, described as “trailblazing” and “one of the most dynamic and unique characters currently on television.”

P-Valley has been renewed for a third season, and the Critics Choice Association recently honored Annan with their Actor Award for Television during their 5th annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television.

Annan also appeared in Hall’s Pulitzer Prize winner, The Hot Wing King, and serves as the theatrical director and master faculty (acting/script/theatrical production) at Motivating Excellence, a commercial dance training program founded by classmate Rhapsody James ’97 (BALA, Media, Society, and the Arts).

In a recent interview, Annan spoke of the important role Israel Hicks played in his life. “He was a man, a teacher, and a mentor to me. He helped mold me as an artist.”
