Antonio Santiago, PhD ’00
Currently, Antonio serves at the Dean of the Danbury Campus and DEI Campus Lead at CT State Community College-Naugatuck Valley. Previously, Antonio served in the role of Interim Dean of Academic Affairs at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT during the merger of CT State community colleges.
Throughout his career in higher education, Antonio has held multiple leadership positions at various private and public institutions. As a proud EOP alum, his undergraduate experience at Purchase College motivated his pursuit of a career in higher education to support and uplift the voices of students. In August 2023, Antonio earned a doctorate degree in Higher Education Leadership and Organizational Studies from Bay Path University. His dissertation, “Discovering Recruitment Strategies to Expand Peer Mentorship,” explored strategies to expand a third-party peer mentoring program to support first generation Hispanic student retention and persistence toward completion at a two-year institution. He holds a master’s degree in Management Communications from Manhattanville College.
Antonio and his wife Stephanie (Class of ’00) have two children and reside in Putnam County, NY.
