Tova Snyder
Full-Time Lecturer of Painting and Drawing
Tova Snyder is a Full-time Lecturer of Painting and Drawing. Born in Manhattan to artist parents, she received her BA from Yale School of Art/Yale University, and her MFA in painting from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, and Temple University Abroad in Rome.
Public art and paintings on canvas have been the focus of Tova’s professional life. Besides exhibitions of her paintings, her work experience includes public and commercial murals, fresco and ceiling paintings, trompe l’oeil and restoration work in the United States, Brazil, and in Europe.
More About Me
Recent mural commissions include ‘The Full Spectrum – Health and Well-Being’ in the lobby of NYC Health + Hospitals’ headquarters in the Financial District, a five-story outdoor mural on a public school in East Tremont/The Bronx, as well as two indoor murals at Columbia University’s Department of Psychiatry.
Her painted portraits from Bahia, Brazil were purchased for permanent display as part of The Fine Art Program and Collection at Montefiore Einstein.
Tova Snyder divides her time between the New York area, where she has a studio, and her home/studio on the Italian Riviera.
