Betsy Aldredge
Assistant Director of Public Relations
Betsy Aldredge is currently the Assistant Director of Public Relations in the department of Communications & Creative Services.
She is also an adjunct instructor in the Communications program where she is teaching Strategic Message Design for the Spring 2024 semester.
Prior to arriving at Purchase more than 8 years ago, she was the Director of Media Relations at the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust for more than 9 years.
In the previous years, she was an arts journalist, having spent time as associate editor of Museums Magazine and assistant editor of Opera News Magazine. In her free time, she is a young adult novelist.
Her debut, Sasquatch, Love, and Other Imaginary Things, was published by Simon & Schuster in August 2017. Her latest book is Eight Dates and Nights, published by Penguin Random House in October 2023.
