Kevin Collymore ’10
Kevin Collymore is passionately committed to enhancing institutional innovation, retention, and student success initiatives through collaborative pedagogy and development strategies.
Currently serving as the Assistant Dean for Retention and Persistence Programs at the University of San Francisco, Kevin plays a pivotal role in numerous Inclusive Initiatives programs aimed at increasing the retention and success of historically underserved students. His efforts include managing comprehensive data tracking systems, overseeing student success programming, and fostering partnerships to enhance student success.
Prior to his role at USF, Kevin was the Assistant Director of Advisement and Student Services at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Kevin’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident through his participation in various strategic committees and initiatives aimed at fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students and staff. His leadership extends beyond his professional roles, having served as President of the Purchase College Alumni Association, where he continues to serve as a Board director and plays a crucial role in alumni engagement and fundraising efforts.
Kevin holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Purchase College, SUNY. His academic and professional journey is complemented by his experience studying abroad in India, China, the United Kingdom, and France, which has enriched his global perspective on higher education.
