Emily Grant

Emily Grant is an Emerita Trustee of the Purchase College Foundation and Chair of the Purchase College Foundation Emeritus  Board.

Mrs. Grant has served on the Purchase College Foundation Board since 1969, including 18 years as Chair of the Board and its Executive Committee. She is a founding charter member of the President’s Club; Chair Emerita of The Performing Arts Center Foundation Board of Trustees, and a former Board member of the Friends of the Neuberger Museum of Art.

Long-time residents of Mamaroneck, New York, Mrs. Grant and her late husband, Eugene, have funded hundreds of deserving students at Purchase College through the Eugene and Emily Grant Merit Scholarship and the Eugene and Emily Grant Music Scholarship programs. Further recognizing the quality of public higher education in her community, Mrs. Grant supported a scholarship program encouraging graduates of Westchester Community College to pursue their Bechelor’s degree at Purchase College. She has made many notable contributions to cultural, community, and philanthropic activities in Westchester County and has served on many boards including ArtsWestchester and the Emelin Theatre. 

Mrs. Grant has received numerous awards including the Westchester Arts Council Arts Award for “Bringing the Joy of Theatre and Arts into Our Lives;” an award from Emelin Theatre for the Performing Arts; Mamaroneck Bravo Award 25th Anniversary for commitment and vision; the B’nai B’rith Humanitarian Award for Outstanding Public Service in Westchester; and the Purchase College Leaders in Philanthropy Award in 2016.
