Let Books Be: Banned Books Week 2026
The Library’s first floor display features classic and contemporary works that have been challenged/banned for their unorthodox and unpopular ideas. Check them out, join in the celebration, and exercise your right to read!
Each year, Banned Books Week (October 4-10, 2026) highlights the value of free and open access to information, bringing together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express all ideas.
Visit the American Library Association’s resource page Banned and Challenged Books to learn about Banned Books Week events and to view the list of most challenged book of 2025.
All items are available for check out.
