The Purchase College Library ILL has launched the newly redesigned ILLiad webpages, offering a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for requesting articles, books, and other resources.
ILLiad Gets a Major Upgrade. Our Interlibrary Loan Request Pages Have Never Looked Better!
We are thrilled to announce that our ILLiad Interlibrary Loan request webpages have been upgraded to a brand-new, state-of-the-art design, and we think you’re going to love it!
If you’ve ever needed to borrow a book, article, or research material that wasn’t available in our own collections, you’ve used ILLiad. Starting now, that experience is dramatically improved from the moment you log in.
A Fresh, Modern Look Built for Everyone
Kristen Heinrich, the Resource Sharing Librarian, has completely redesigned the ILLiad webpages with easier-to-understand interfaces and navigation. The updated interface is fully WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 compliant, making ILLiad web content more accessible than ever before. The pages also provide better support for mobile devices and a wide variety of desktop configurations.
Whether you’re on your phone between classes, on a tablet in a coffee shop, or on your office desktop, ILLiad now looks and works beautifully everywhere.
Smarter Navigation, Simpler Workflow
The old vertical menu structure has been replaced with a sleek horizontal navigation bar that stays fully accessible even when condensed for mobile viewing. The redesigned Main Menu now clearly displays your Outstanding Requests, Checked Out Items, and Available PDFs all in one place.
Need to find a specific request fast? A search bar has been added to the navigation menu, allowing you to search outstanding and completed requests across all statuses. No more hunting, just search and go!
Redesigned Request Forms
The request forms themselves have gotten a major makeover. A new CD/DVD/LP request form has been added. The forms have also been streamlined to remove unnecessary fields, reducing friction and making it quicker to submit your requests.
We’ve added an article expiration date so you’ll know exactly when your PDF will be removed from the server. Be sure to download and save your article before it expires.
Cookie Transparency
A cookie notification has also been introduced in accordance with EU cookie law, letting patrons know exactly how their data is used on the ILLiad pages.
Everything You Know, Better Than Ever
Your login credentials haven’t changed. Log in with your existing Purchase College username and password, or if it’s your first time using ILLiad, choose “First Time Users” to register for a new account. The steps to place and track an Interlibrary Loan request remain the same; only the look and feel have been upgraded.
