Purchase Dancers Perform “Live From The 10th Floor”

Trisha Brown Dance Company staged a snippet of the choreographer’s 1983 piece “Set and Reset” in T Magazine’s office suite for the publication’s innovative series.

T, the New York Times Style Magazine, stages and films performances among the cubicles of their midtown Manhattan headquarters for a series they call Live From The 10th Floor.

The Trisha Brown Dance Company recently performed an excerpt from “Set and Reset” (1983), bringing the groundbreaking choreography to life. The original premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for the inaugural 1983 Next Wave Festival with stage designs by the visionary artist Robert Rauschenberg and music by Laurie Anderson.

Company members Ashley Merker ’17 and Spencer Weidie ’17 participated in the T Magazine performance. Claude CJ Johnson ’17 is also a company member, and Carolyn Lucas ’84 is the company’s associate artistic director.
