Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month Display
Celebrate Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month at the Library!
On display on the first floor, we have a vibrant sample of Library materials from our book and music collections. The selected book titles include literature, contemporary & traditional poetry in Spanish and English translation, autobiography, and anthologies that cover subject areas in history, theatre, popular music, fine arts, photography, film, and sociology.
Our music collection also comes alive with the diverse sounds and storytelling of Latin America. Our sample of CDs on display represent major genres such as salsa, mariachi, tango, Latin pop, and rock en Español. Artists range from worldwide icons such as Celia Cruz, Willie Colon, Silvio Rodriguez and Tito Puente to contemporary favorites like Shakira, Los Fabulous Cadillacs, Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony.
