ITAC Funding for 2024-2025 - Call For Proposals - deadline is Monday November 20th

The Instructional Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) is inviting proposals for ITAC funds that will become available July 1st 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The deadline for you to submit your ITAC proposals online is November 20th.

Again this year we will be using an online form to gather proposals. We recommend that you review the ITAC Proposal Instructions and Questions for 2024-25 before going online to enter your proposal. This instruction document shows all the questions in the online form so that you can gather the information you will need in advance. For this year there is also a new Excel spreadsheet template that you can download in advance, fill out the detail for the items you are requesting, and attach to your proposal.

Overview of the ITAC Proposal and Review Process:

  1. The Instructional Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) is a shared-governance subcommittee of the Purchase College Senate.
  2. Proposals for Instructional Technology Advisory Committee funding are solicited from the entire campus community.
  3. ITAC encourages innovative, strategic, and collaborative proposals, but individual or one-unit proposals are also welcome.
  4. ITAC proposals are funded by student technology fees and are intended to support student-facing equipment, software, and services. Please note that requests for faculty and staff computers and laptops are not eligible for ITAC funding and should be made to your academic or unit director.
  5. Faculty should discuss their proposal(s) with their Department Chair/Director before submitting it.
  6. You can submit multiple proposals, but you can only work on one proposal at a time. You can return and continue editing a proposal multiple times – until you press “Done” on the final page. Once you press the “Done” button, the next time you return to the proposal form you will receive a new blank form – and you can work on that new one until it is “Done”.
  7. ITAC has developed a new Rubric to assist in evaluating proposals, and a new set of assessment criteria.
  8. Proposals MUST include specific identification of each item being requested – link, SKU number, etc. a new Excel spreadsheet template is provided and can be completed in advance.
  9. All proposals must include a Vendor Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for each item requested.
  10. Requests will be reviewed by ITAC, and we may contact you for additional information where appropriate.
  11. All ITAC requests are reviewed and discussed with Academic Directors for prioritization within their unit.
  12. The CIO, ITAC Chair, and Directors of the Library and the TLTC review the master list and meet to discuss ITAC recommendations with the Provost, who will make a final determination.
  13. The list of successful proposals will be published in late in April 2024.
  14. Procurement for the approved proposals will begin July 1st 2024 for implementation by September.
  15. One year later (September 2025) the originator will be asked to assess the results and effectiveness of each ITAC investment.
