In Spring 2021, the Neuberger Museum of Art and its education team delivered 200 NEU Kids Pack backpacks filled with essential art supplies and projects to local schoolkids at the Enrico Firmi School in Yonkers.
The lack of tools for creative expression was one of the many hidden impacts on the creative, intellectual and social development of young people who did not have access to art items at home during the pandemic. Museum members and friends responded quickly, meeting the $10,000 target goal in just two weeks.
