Purchase Named Top Ten Public Liberal Arts Colleges

That’s according to by U.S. News & World Report in the 2022 edition of their college guide.

Also Top for Ethnic Diversity and Social Mobility

Purchase College is listed as one of the Top Ten Public Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report in the 2022 edition of their college guide.

Purchase, which is ranked as one of the most ethnically diverse liberal arts colleges, is also listed as a top performer on social mobility, which evaluates how well the college serves low-income students.


The Princeton Review

Purchase was recently listed as one of the Top 387 Colleges in the nation by The Princeton Review in the 2022 edition of their college guide. The Princeton Review also lists Purchase as a Best Northeastern College, a Best Value College, and among the most Green Colleges, due to its longstanding commitment to sustainability. Home to the acclaimed Performing Arts Center, Purchase was ranked on the list of Best College Theaters.

We’re proud of our commitment to fostering diversity and of our college’s ability to provide a supportive academic, cultural, and social environment for low income students,” said Shane Seaman, Interim Dean of Enrollment Management at Purchase College.


Other Significant Rankings

2022 Fiske Guide to Colleges Best Buy School Purchase was selected for inclusion in the highly selective 2022 edition of The Fiske Guide to Colleges. Purchase is one of only 10 public colleges on the list. The colleges were chosen by the editors for the list as they offer “outstanding educational value as determined by academic quality in relation to the net cost of attendance.”

Purchase was included in Money Magazine’s list of best colleges for 2020-21 and on Forbes Magazine’s list of top colleges for 2021
