Senior Speaker: Michelle Dieguez

This year’s senior speaker, Michelle Dieguez, majored in Literature with a minor in Theatre and Performance.

Michelle Dieguez hails from Yonkers, NY and transferred to Purchase in 2018.​ During her time here, she was a Lead Admissions Ambassador, the Social Media Manager for the School of Humanities, a Student Orientation Leader (SOL), and a member of the Varsity Women’s Tennis team.

In the fall, Dieguez will be pursuing a master’s at either New York University or Boston University, while working in theatre.

When asked why she auditioned for senior class speaker, Dieguez wrote, “I just really enjoyed being a student at Purchase College. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I was accepted into the college community with open arms, giving me the space to explore my interests, make connections, pursue internships, and most importantly be myself. I feel very connected with the senior class; graduating with them and leaving Purchase feels like I am leaving behind my family and my home.”
