Art in Public Places
Graphic design students bring creative solutions to brighten the pedestrian experience in downtown White Plains.
Professor Warren Lehrer’s Community Design class has once again teamed up with the White Plains Business Improvement District (WPBID). This is the fifth year students from the upper level class enlivened the downtown with art.
The works of art are created in collaboration with poetry about living and working in White Plains written by poet Judith Sloan.
The project began as Art in Vacant Spaces, but with office vacancies on the decline, the work this year is instead applied to construction fencing.
