On October 11, 2019 the Great Potential Liberty Partnerships Program attended the International Day of the Girl Event Take Charge of Your Future, hosted by Westchester County Youth Bureau and a number of sponsors and partners, at Manhattanville College. The day was filled with engaging activities such as rock band performances, panel discussions, workshops, and a complimentary breakfast. Music was performed by Kat Rodriguez, a multi-faceted grammy nominated musician, singer, saxophonist, songwriter, clarinetist, flautist, producer, arranger, composer and teacher. Workshops included uplifting activities such as The Fire Next Time: Being Your Authentic Self, Take Charge of Your Financials Future: From College to Career and Beyond, and participated in yoga. The program had an incredible attendance.  Approximately 450 students came to participate in unique and engaging experiences that were made to “highlight and uplift girls around the world,”.
