Majella Loughran ’12 Has Got Talent

She’s a member of the dance company Diavolo, who made it to the finals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Diavolo | Architecture in Motion is an LA-based dance company that “uses dance to explore the relationship between the human body and its architectural environment.”

Their powerful performances launched them to the finals on the NBC hit show America’s Got Talent, which aired on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 19 and 20.

On stage performing was Majella Loughran ’12 (dance performance), who’s been a company member since 2015.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she trained in hip hop, modern, jazz, ballet, and musical theatre at Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts (SHPA) after moving to the US.

Loughran loves teaching and once she earned her BFA, she returned to SHPA as a teacher, choreographer, and production manager. She also created  Dark Matter Dance, a horror themed group that performed site-specific and character work at festivals in the tri-state area, including the legendary Horseman’s Hollow haunted attraction based on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
