As my second semester as a FreeStore intern comes to a close, I have begun to reflect on my wonderful and transformative experience. This year we’ve made so many strides towards a more sustainable campus and strengthening the community that surrounds our space. Introducing a new donation box and hosting various events are just some examples of our growth, but we are not stopping there. As we look to the future, my goal is to cement the FreeStore as a third space on campus and grow its overall relevance to the student body. Providing resources for the campus as well as a space for the community to gather are core functions of the FreeStore. By more effectively engaging with the Purchase community, I believe the FreeStore will continue to grow exponentially. The FreeStore is by students, for students, and not going anywhere.
