Purchase College
Use the full name on first reference in running text: Purchase College, State University of New York or Purchase College, depending on the audience. (If the college logo is clearly visible—as it is on the campus website—it is not necessary to include State University of New York.)
- Purchase College, the college, or Purchase may be used in second references.
- Use the lowercase c when referring to Purchase as the college (AP style).
- Do not use SUNY Purchase in any references other than the college’s Facebook site. (SUNY Purchase is used in that instance for search engine optimization.)
