What to Support
Purchase College calls on its alumni, parents, and friends to give generously to the Purchase College Foundation.
Fundraising priorities include scholarships, The Purchase Fund, and the President's Unrestricted Fund. Explore the links at left to learn more.
While funding from the State provides faculty and staff salaries as well as general maintenance of the physical plant, it cannot meet the needs of Purchase College.
Three out of four students request financial assistance. Scholarships make it possible to recruit top-notch students for their talents, abilities and scholastic achievement, rather than focusing on their ability to pay.
Named scholarships may be established with an initial gift of $10,000 or more, payable over two years. Endowed named scholarships can be established with gifts of $50,000 or more, which can be paid over a three-year period.
The Purchase Fund
The Purchase Fund is an important source of critical unrestricted support to channel funding to the College's most urgent needs that directly benefit students and the quality of their educational experience, both inside and outside the classroom.
The Purchase Fund is made possible by gifts from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. The fund ensures quality of education and access for students who face financial challenges. Faculty and staff are afforded professional development opportunities, and the college creates networking opportunities for alumni.
President’s Unrestricted Fund
You have the chance to make a tangible difference at Purchase College through gifts to the President’s Unrestricted Fund.
The President's Unrestricted Fund provides direct aid to students through scholarships, program and exhibit support, facility and technology enhancements, and mini-grants to faculty which are used to sponsor curriculum and research projects for inclusion in the classroom.
Friends and Affiliates
A number of volunteer groups support the work of Purchase College. The Purchase College Affiliates support the College overall, while Friends groups focus on support for specific divisions. Please join these dynamic groups in supporting Purchase College!
Purchase College Affiliates
The Affiliates is a special group that brings together the interests of the community and the needs of the College. The Affiliates provide volunteer and financial support to a wide range of college programs and activities, encouraging and promoting productive and rewarding relationships between the college and its students, and the community and its citizens.
Affiliate membership fees support a campus-wide grants program that funds initiatives whether they are the work of students, faculty or staff. This unique program often supports campus projects and college needs which otherwise may not be funded. Over the years, the wide range of projects funded by the Affiliate grants program has served to encourage intercommunication and cooperative projects between students, faculty, staff, departments, and administrators.
