Eleonora (Ellie) Binz-Scharf (she/her) (Clareece) is a Theatre and Performance major in her sophomore year at SUNY Purchase. She is looking forward to playing the small yet meaningful role of Clarice in this beautiful production of “Am I Blue”. Ellie has been acting since elementary school and now is most interested in film, but theatre will always be her first love! Thank you to Franki Mastrone, Aidan Mitchell, and Rhiannon Reynolds for this opportunity and for your guidance. Big thank you’s as well to the tech team and the actors for bringing this wonderful play to life!
Ryan Dupont (John Polk Richards) is a senior at Purchase College. He is a Theatre and
Performance major with a concentration in performance practice. He has had a lot of fun working on Am I Blue and will always cherish the role of John Polk. Other notable roles he has played include Don in Kinky Boots and Steven in Bring It On. Ryan would like to thank his family and friends for their endless support, and he hopes you all enjoy the show!
Shaday Garvey (she/her) (Ashbe Williams) is a senior Theatre and Performance major. She has experienced no greater pleasure than playing the role of Ashbe in this production of Am I Blue. Another notable play she performed in at Purchase College was last semester’s Secrets in a Smoke-Filled Room. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support, as well as the amazing cast and crew of Am I Blue, whose hard work and creativity helped bring this beautiful story to life.
Max Rufasto (Barker) is a Theatre and Performance major. He is a sophomore and will be playing the role of Barker in the production Am I Blue and is also run crew. His acting experience was mostly in high school playing roles like Drew Boley in Rock of Ages and Hysterium in A Funny Thing That Happened On The Way To The Forum. He is very excited to be working on this production and would like to thank everyone in the cast and team for this opportunity.
Riley Smith (Hilda) is a sophomore theater and performance major with a concentration in directing here at Purchase! She is so excited to be working on this show with such an amazing team. Riley is the assistant stage manager for Am I Blue and is playing the role of Hilda. She recently was the assistant director for the Rocky Horror Picture Show here on campus!
Ava Beck-Ley (She/Her) (Sound Designer) has just begun her freshman year as a Theater Design and Technology major with a focus in sound and lighting design. Although she has previously worked on numerous shows, she couldn’t be more thrilled to design her first ever show at Purchase! She would like to display her deepest gratitude to the support of her parents, family, friends, and mentors who helped her get to where she is today.
Franki Spinelli Mastrone (she/they) (Director) is a Senior Theatre and performance major, and she is over the moon to be directing Am I Blue as her senior project alongside Ryan and Shaday. Last spring Franki made their directorial debut with Collective Rage by Jen Silverman and has performed in numerous productions at Purchase and beyond. Aidan Mitchell (he/him) (Stage Manager), is a junior Arts Management and Theatre and Performance double major, has been passionate about theatre since his freshman year of high school. He has taken on various roles in the theatre space including stage management, acting, sound design, and scenic tech. In addition to theatre, he also plays guitar and makes music. He cherishes creating art with friends and sharing it with others. Aidan would like to thank his family and friends for always supporting his artistic endeavors.
Ariah Piper (Lighting Designer) is a sophomore Theatre and Performance major from Portland, OR. Past Purchase credits include Collective Rage, The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, and Dictatenure (Lighting Designer), and At The Bottom (Assistant Director). Outside of theatre, Ariah enjoys watching late-night television and eating way too many snacks. She’d like to thank Franki for being the best birthday twin (quadruplet?) that she could ask for!
Rhiannon Reynolds (she/her) is the assistant director for Am I Blue. This is her third year at Purchase studying Theatre and Performance with a concentration in directing, plus a minor in arts management. Previously, Rhiannon assistant directed Judy’s House and worked on run crew for Collective Rage. She is thrilled to be working with such an amazing team and incredibly thankful for the opportunity!
