Ben Tostado
Originally from California, Ben began performing in the Los Angeles area before moving to the east coast to attend Ithaca College where he earned his BFA in Acting. Upon graduation, he relocated to New York City to begin his career in regional theatre, touring companies, and off-off Broadway. He has worked with and studied under some of the great contemporary artists/teachers including Moises Kaufman, Austin Pendleton, Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, and Terry Schreiber. In between acting jobs, Ben began teaching theatre to children at companies like TADA! and the Lucy Moses School of Music, while heading the drama program at Rodeph Sholom School in Manhattan for 10 years. In addition, Ben has co-authored several children’s musicals and plays, including his family-friendly comedy The Great Pie Robbery…or, We Really Knead the Dough, which opened at the NYC Fringe Festival in 2012 and later had a four-week run off-Broadway. He recently co-starred with Queen Latifah on her ‘It’s Bigger Than Me’ campaign.
