Sam Jaffe ’17

Samuel Barnes Jaffe ’17 is an actor, singer, and personal trainer based in New York City.

Jaffe was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland where he spent most of his time competitively swimming and sculpting Pokemon out of pipe cleaners.

Following graduation, he immediately moved to New York City and, being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city, thrived creatively. He began working on original works and exploring the world of film and television. He performed at venues such as Ars Nova, the Green Room 42 and the Dixon Place. He also acted in some student films and as an extra in Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

He left the city in 2019 to perform in a touring children’s theater group and upon his return was determined to make 2020 a year to remember, despite the catastrophe. He took a deep breath and began training and pushing himself further than he knew possible.

Jaffe trained with incredible teachers such as; NYU’s adjunct professor, Tyler Knauf, casting directors Duncan Stewart, Brian Sutow, and James Calleri, and his wonderful colleagues in the Broadway and Beyond Book Club and Upstart Crows. He returned to the Big Apple in the summer of 2021 and has been so grateful to be back.

He recently signed with Bonafide and Emerging Artist in New York City and looks forward to working with them!
