Vice President for Administration
Mike Kopas joined Purchase in 2017 as the Senior Director of Facilities and Capital Planning. During the six years he served in that role, he was responsible for facilities operations, capital planning and budgeting, environmental health and safety, energy management, campus sustainability and mailroom operations. Prior to his arrival at Purchase College, Mike spent 13 years at Drew University in New Jersey where he last served as Associate Vice President of Facilities and Campus Operations. His responsibilities at Drew included facilities management, university relations, capital planning, and auxiliary services.
As Vice President for Administration at Purchase College, Mike’s responsibilities include Business Affairs, Facilities Management, Capital Planning, Human Resources and the Purchase College Association.
As a certified arborist and longterm advocate of sustainability, Mike graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Environmental Planning and Design. Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to fostering teamwork within and across campus divisions, Mike also participated in the SAIL Summer Leadership Academy in 2022.
