Roy Moskowitz ’75

A proud Purchase graduate, Roy P. Moskowitz is currently project manager for The New York Historical Society, where he is coordinating the planning, design, and construction of the largest expansion project since the Museum was founded.

He has enjoyed a distinguished career in law and education.

At The New School, after serving twelve years as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of the Corporation, Roy was Professor of Professional Practice and Special Advisor to the President. During his tenure he provided legal and policy advice to the Board of Trustees, the President, senior administrators, and Dean of the Academic Divisions of the University. Roy oversaw campus security, governmental relations, real estate, insurance, facilities and maintenance operations, as well as the construction of the University Center.

Previously, Roy held roles of increasing responsibility at the New York City Board of Education, City University of New York, New York State Education Department, and Advocates for Children of New York, Inc. He also served as an adjunct lecturer at Bank Street College of Education.

Roy earned his Juris Doctor at the Hofstra University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Purchase College.
