Claire Jamison ’13

Claire Jamison ’13 is and actor, writer, producer, among many other passions she pursues for joy and/or profession.

In addition to roles in TV, film, and theatre, Jamison writes and performs music as Lipsweat, practices photography, and has a series in development, Malaga Island.

She’s the founder of Power of People Combined, an organization that produces events showcasing artists of all backgrounds while celebrating, sponsoring, and advocating for organizations helping communities in need, often working with Purchase alumni such as Le’Asha, Rosehardt, The Dragon Sisters, Starchild & the New Romantic, Empress Mae, and more.

Fellow acting alum Sophia Zukoski ’14 joined as co-artistic director of POPC in 2018. The first event raised funds for the International Rescue Committee in response to the travel bans imposed in 2017. Events followed to benefit Climate Refugees and RAICES, which helps women and children separated at the border. “It’s about building community and the power we have to support each other when we come together.”
