Zach Wright ’12

Zach Wright ’12  is a Senior Technical Director at productionglue, a TAIT company.

With a career spanning television, concerts and music festivals, special events, sports, corporate, contemporary art, and trade shows, Wright (Theatre Design/Technology: Technical Direction/Production Management) has worked in almost every branch of the live events industry in the U.S. and abroad.

His responsibilities include leading and coordinating teams across large-scale projects and site builds, show advances, technical design, consulting, and long-term strategy.

Tasked with understanding and advocating for the needs of multiple stakeholders—including promoters, production departments and vendors, artists, television networks, venues, and municipal/government entities—Wright typically works as a hub for all key aspects of a project’s execution.

His work often departs from traditional technical entertainment needs, branching into civil work – such as building roads and helipads—working on and in historic buildings, new technology deployments, large-scale international freight, and developing workflows to suit the needs of specific projects and sites.

Most recent work includes the Soundstorm Music Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; All-Star Week, Global Games, and the 2019-2020 Season Restart for the NBA; The Governors Ball Music Festival; the Formula 1 After-Race Concert series in Jeddah; and South Park’s 25th Anniversary at Red Rocks.

Wright has also participated in multiple Guinness world records, including the world’s tallest stage, largest LED screen on a stage, tallest and most flames on a stage, and largest marquee-style tent and floor.
