Troy Atkinson ’04

Troy Atkinson ’04 is general manager, scenic technologies operations at PRG, a global provider of services and solutions in entertainment and live events.

He has been a project manager for Broadway shows, corporate events, and concert tours. He has also led a team of technical designers and professional engineers to create some of the most sophisticated automation on Broadway.

Some of the productions that Atkinson has helped bring to life are Shrek The Musical, Book of Mormon, Macy’s Christmas Windows (2005 and 2010), Britney Spears’ Circus Tour, Kylie Minogue’s For Your, For Me, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, the International Indian Film Academy (Toronto 2011), Queen + Adam Lambert (2014-15), Mary Poppins (1st National), Awakening at Wynn, Moulin Rouge, MJ the Musical, A Strange Loop, and & Juliet.

Atkinson is a member of the ESTA Technical Standards Group, which helps to determine technical standards for the entertainment industry. He teaches Theatre Technology III at Purchase and is the Cubmaster of his kids’ Cub Scout Pack. During his tenure in scouting, Atkinson obtained the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
