Orlagh Cassidy ’90

Award-winning actor Orlagh Cassidy ’90 is a New York-based actor who has worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in regional theatres.

Known as the “Queen of Dialects” while at Purchase, she’s has had an extensive career in audiobooks, winning over 25 awards for her narration from Audiofile Magazine along with two Audie Award nominations. She’s narrated160 audiobooks, according to audible.com.

She has graced the stages at The Nederlander Theater, The Walter Kerr Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, Manhattan Class Company, The Irish Repertory Theatre (Drama Desk Award nominee for The Field), Origin Theatre (*Industry Leader Award), and The Public Theater.

Orlagh has had supporting roles in the feature films St. Vincent, Shirley, After Yang, and the upcoming The Pale Blue Eye with Christian Bale (2023).

She has been a frequent guest star and recurring player on primetime television and Netflix series such as City on a Hill, Manifest, Random Acts of Flyness, Madam Secretary, The Sinner, Homeland, Billions, The Good Wife, Elementary, Gotham, Law and Order, The Loudest Voice, and Bull.

She spent 11 years in Springfield, recurring on Guiding Light as District Attorney turned Mayor, Doris Wolf.

Cassidy has recently completed a one-woman show, It’s In The Play, along with several short stories. Born in Washington D.C., she resides in New York City.
