Arletha (Lisa) Miles-Boyce

Chief Diversity Officer/Title IX and Affirmative Action Officer

Arletha Miles-Boyce (Lisa) (she/her/hers) joined Purchase College as the Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX and Affirmative Action Officer in June 2022.  Lisa is a seasoned Diversity Professional and Equity Compliance Officer. Lisa holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, a Master’s in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Herbert H. Lehman College.

Lisa was the inaugural Affirmative Action Officer and Title IX Coordinator for Pace University and over the course of her 23-year career with the University, she held various roles including serving as the Executive Director of Equity Compliance and Title IX Coordinator. Lisa also served as Interim Chief Diversity Officer of York College in Queens. Lisa received her certification as a Civil Rights investigator from Cornell University’s ILR program and is also a trained mediator certified by the Peace Institute.

In addition to academia, Lisa has provided consultation and DEI training for both nonprofits and religious organizations. Lisa is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and serves as Vice-Chair of the Board for the West Side Campaign Against Hunger.
