Helaine Suval
Helaine Suval is a recognized omni‐channel/retail industry C‐Suite leader and Board member with a strong history across all facets of retail and experience in advising companies with transformation, technology, merchandising and marketing.
Over the last several years, Ms. Suval has provided board leadership to several companies and charitable organizations. Ms. Suval is a member of the Board of Directors for Lenox Inc., On Campus Marketing and UJAFederation of New York, and previously served on the Board of Directors for Ashley Stewart. Ms. Suval also serves as a business mentor for two fashion tech accelerators – Parsons XRC Labs and New York Fashion Tech Labs. Ms. Suval serves as the chair of the executive committee for UJA, Women’s Executive Circle; a group of senior level Jewish women business leaders who come together under the auspices of UJA‐Federation of New York.
Ms. Suval is one of the founding partners of WHYZ Partners, a boutique advisory firm focused on delivering growth through both profitability and purpose for the retail and fashion industry. Following her last corporate role building the macys.com business from start‐up to over $1B, Ms. Suval left to start Suval Consultants to fuel her passion for helping businesses grow by providing strategy, leadership and guidance to clients in this fast‐changing retail environment (from start‐up to multi‐billion $). Ms. Suval has been able to leverage her experience across a broad range of companies in various stages of growth.
Prior to her consulting roles, Ms. Suval held various senior executive positions, including Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for macys.com, Senior Vice President for living.com, Vice President and General Manager for Avon, and numerous executive positions at Bloomingdales, including Senior Vice President for Home Furnishings. Ms. Suval developed the industry leading home furnishings area by creating trend setting departments with unique marketing concepts, exciting merchandise and stimulating visual presentations.
Ms. Suval holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
