Geri E. Pell
Geri Eisenman Pell, Private Wealth Advisor and Chief Executive Officer of Pell Wealth Partners, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, has been a financial advisor since 1986.
Among numerous national recognitions, Geri has appeared on CNBC, CNN, NBC Nightly News, and Fox Business News. She has also been quoted in and written articles for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Financial Planning, Financial Advisor and Registered Rep Magazines. Geri was a proud member of CNBC’s first-ever Digital Financial Advisor Council. As CNBC worked to strengthen its digital presence, members of the Council, such as Geri, contributed to the site through guest columns and on-air appearances enriching their content as it related to real-life financial planning.
Geri has had the distinct honor of being recognized as one of the Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the country by Barron’s Magazine from 2009-2021. She was also named to Barron’s list of Top 1,200 Advisors in the country from 2014-2017 and again from 2019-2021. In 2020, she was named to Barron’s list of Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors for the first time. Geri was recognized as one of Financial Times 400 Top Financial Advisors from 2017-2019 and was a 2017 Brava Award Winner by Smart CEO. In 2018, Geri was inducted into the Business Council of Westchester’s Hall of Fame recognizing her professional accomplishment, community service, and leadership as their 2018 Women in Business honoree. Most recently, Geri was named a Top Women Wealth Advisor and Best-in-State advisor by Forbes for 2021.
In 2016, Geri was recognized in an article by Westchester Magazine as one of Westchester’s 30 Most Intriguing People and in 2019 she was named a 914 Inc. Women in Business honoree. Her focus is on helping high-net-worth clients plan their financial goals for a lifetime and beyond. She believes that when done right, financial planning can be a life-changing experience, re-aligning your relationship with wealth. Geri is a firm believer in the idea that working on money, investment, and family issues should be a healing, non-stress-inducing process. Clients often tell her she sits at the intersection of money and life.
One investment strategy Geri feels particularly passionate about is Socially Responsible Investing or Impact Investing. Geri believes in the power of investing with your values as a means of supporting companies that have environmental, social, and governance policies that coincide with clients’ individual morals and values.
As the owner of a growing and successful practice of 18 team members, including 6 financial advisors, Geri continues to travel the country as a mentor, educator, and counselor for women and new advisors on financial planning initiatives and practice management. Geri has helped to train thousands of advisors over the years through one-on-one training, partnering sessions, and large group workshops. She is extremely proud of the knowledgeable team she leads and the culture they have all created, and in 2018 and from 2020-2021, Pell Wealth Partners was recognized by InvestmentNews as one the “Best Places to Work for Financial Advisers”.
Geri is a graduate of SUNY Albany, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration in Finance & International Business from New York University’s highly regarded Stern School of Business in 1981. Prior to the conception of Pell Wealth Partners, Geri gained experience working in corporate finance and treasury at General Foods, Hoffmann-LaRoche, and Bristol-Myers.
Geri is a member of the Global Advisory Network for World Pulse, an international organization that uses the power of interactive media to connect and bring a global voice to women worldwide. She is also President of the Board of Trustees for Treehouse Shakers, an organization that brings dance and storytelling to children. Geri is on the Westchester Business and Professional Board of UJA, is a member of the UJA Women’s Executive Counsel in NYC, and is the Chair of The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College Advisory Council. Other areas of philanthropic involvement include the Feeding Westchester & Girls Inc. of Westchester County which focuses on topics Geri considers important both personally, and as an investing philosophy for sustainability and environmental & governance awareness.
Always striving to achieve balance in her life, Geri’s passions include music, yoga, reading (at the beach), and traveling. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her two sons, Ben and Duncan.
