Diana Cooper is best known for her hybrid works combining drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. She is represented by Postmasters Gallery in NYC and teaches at Columbia University. She has a BA from Harvard College and an MFA from Hunter.
Cooper has exhibited at the Whitney Museum ; MOMA/PS1; Brooklyn Museum; CAC Cincinnati; Kunstmuseum St.Gallen; Sharjah Museum; Tang Museum, Gund Gallery, He Xiangning Museum, and the Drawing Room. In 2007, Cooper had a 10 year retrospective at MOCA Cleveland. She was awarded a Percent for Art Permanent Commission in 2008. She recently completed a commission at the Moss Center at Virginia Tech. An MTA commission will be installed on Roosevelt Island in 2021. Cooper is the recipient of the Rome Prize, a Guggenheim, a Pollock-Krasner, NYFA Grant, a Joan Mitchel Grant and Anonymous Was A Woman. This past fall, Cooper had her seventh solo show at Postmasters.
