Workshop: Identifying and adopting Open Educational Resources

9:00am  — 12:00pm

LIB 1004C computer lab
Open Educational Resources provide more flexibility to you as an instructor, and promote student retention and success.  This workshop will provide an introduction to OER course materials, and present locations and strategies for finding appropriate open materials for your courses.
  • What are Open Educational Resources?
  • How does open licensing and the 5 R’s of OER provide new opportunities to you and your students?
  • What materials and support are available from SUNY OER Services?
  • Where else can you find OER materials to adopt for your course?

Workshop participants will develop a plan to identify and adopt openly licensed materials suitable for their course(s).

Please describe the course(s) that you are interested in working on, in the comments field below.

Registration closes 20 May in order to have time to process PAFs before the end of the fiscal year.

Faculty participants receive a stipend from our OER funding.
Registration for this event is now closed.
