NYU’s Center for Publishing is hosting an info session
The NYU Center for Publishing is the premiere destination for students who are interested in a career in publishing. Our Summer Publishing Institute and MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media programs provide two unique opportunities. Students are invited to attend one or both information sessions, and to consider beginning their publishing studies during the 2019 Summer Publishing Institute. If they are accepted and successfully complete SPI, they can enter the graduate program in the fall with advanced standing.
2019 Summer Publishing Institute (SPI)
Online Information Session
Thursday, October 18, 2018,
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. E.S.T.
ON OCTOBER 18TH, join us to learn more about SPI, our renowned, six-week summer program (June 3–July 12, 2019), developed specifically for recent college graduates and rising college seniors who are interested in careers in the book, magazine, and digital media publishing industries. SPI annually features more than 150 leading industry executives who serve as faculty members and guest speakers. Students attend lectures and workshops that explore key publishing issues; visit some of the top book, magazine, and digital publishing headquarters; and participate in a career fair and other job-related activities. SPI awards six graduate credits to those who successfully complete the program. These credits may be applied to the MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media or to an advanced degree at another institution of higher education where the credits are deemed acceptable. Students may choose to apply to and attend both programs and enter the graduate program in the fall with six credits of advanced standing.
