Tuesdays. Salsa & Bachata. 5:15-6:45pm. Gym-Aerobics Studio 1. Salsa dancing each week plus other social dances like bachata, tango, and swing are introduced. Hosted by Purchase Intramurals.

Tuesdays. Zumba. 8-9pm. Gym-Aerobics Studio 2. Hosted by Purchase Intramurals.

Tuesdays. Capoeira. 7:30-8:30pm. Gym-Aerobics Studio 1. This is an Afro-Brazilian art form combining elements of sport, music, martial art and dance into a game of physical dialogue and expression. Hosted by Purchase Intramurals.

Friday, October 12. Purchase Symphony Orchestra & Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. 7pm. Performing Arts Center. Tickets cost: $20 with discounts for students. Hosted by the Performing Arts Center.

Friday, September 21. SOCA’s Carnival Party. 10pm-1:30am. The Stood 1012. Hosted by SOCA.

Aida Cuevas is known as “The Queen of Ranchera.” Ranchera stems from the Mexican revolution; the genre is overflowing with drama and patriotism.
