Short Film Screenings and Panel: Transnational Student Filmmakers

Performing Arts Center, Pepsi Co. Theater
View short films created by Purchase College students in collaboration with students from Benin, West Africa and Haiti, and participate in the discussion to follow between filmmakers and heads of the three film schools.

To foster collective and collaborative dialogue, Purchase College has launched a transnational filmmaking project in which film students from the U.S., Benin in West Africa, and Haiti in the Caribbean work together to produce short films and promote cross-cultural conversations.

The program seeks to inspire young filmmakers to address art, politics, and social issues of relevance across the world. A selection of short films produced in 2017 and 2018 will be showcased during the festival and followed by a discussion with the student filmmakers and the directors of the partner schools.
