Types of Institutional Scholarship

LIBERAL ARTS & SCIENCES FRESHMEN
Merit Scholarship

  • Available for in-state ($2000) and out-of-state ($3000) residents
  • Must have at least an 86 high school average
  • Must have 1100 combined SAT score (Critical Reading and Math)

Presidential Scholar Award

  • Available for in-state ($3000) and out-of-state ($4000) students
  • Must have at least a 90 high school average
  • Must have 1200 combined SAT score (Critical Reading and Math).

Talent-Based Merit Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of demonstrated artistic ability or potential. The Director and faculty of the program make scholarship determinations. New students are considered for eligibility at the time of their artistic review, which can include any of the following:

  • Portfolio review
  • Audition
  • Essay
  • Interview

The amounts and types of awards offered in the School of the Arts vary by program and faculty assessment of student talent and ability at the time of the artistic review. Students are encouraged to contact the particular department for specific information.
