Steven Loscher begins his seventh season as the head women’s basketball coach at Purchase. The former Purchase College Coach of the Year led the Panthers to the Skyline Conference Tournament semifinals in 2009-10 a year after guiding the program to its first ever ECAC Tournament Appearance.

Founder and Director of Hidden Skills Basketball Academy since 1997, Loscher continues to build on his reputation as a passionate, tireless worker, who emphasizes the fundamentals of the game.

The process began seven years ago as Loscher brought in his first recruiting class that included seven new freshmen.

Today, Purchase boasts some of the best players in the conference.

Coach Loscher began his coaching career at the C.Y.O. level, and has coached at the middle school, high school and collegiate ranks. His resume includes experience at numerous basketball camps and clinics throughout the country including Marquette University, University of Connecticut and Manhattan College. He has also worked alongside the late Dick DeVenzio at his Point Guard Basketball College in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. Loscher currently runs basketball boot camps, shooting schools, along with point guard and post player camps.
He also holds a BA in Communication from the University of Dayton, a Masters in Early Childhood Education from CCNY and his New York Certification in Physical Education. He currently teaches physical education at Hillcrest Elementary School in the East Ramapo Central School District. 

A resident of Stony Point, NY, Steven and his wife Ilana are proud parents of three children:  Brandon, 13, Jenna, 11, and Alexa, 7.
