Graduate School Admissions Tests

Most graduate programs require one or more admissions tests as a component of their application process.  Listed below are commonly required admissions exams, with links to further information about fees, registration deadlines, and testing centers.

To determine which admissions tests may be required, applicants should contact the admissions department of the programs they are exploring.

GRE - Graduate Record Examination - by Educational Testing Service (E.T.S) - Commonly used in graudate school admissions.

GMAT - Graduate Management Admissions Test (by E.T.S.) - used in graduate business and management programs admissions.

LSAT - Law School Admissions Test - (by the Law School Admissions Council)

MCAT - Medical College Admissions Test (by the American Association of Medical Colleges)  - Medical schools admissions test.

DAT - Dental Admission Test (by the American Dental Association)

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language (by E.T.S)  - used to test English proficiency in foreign applicants.

MAT - Miller Analogies Test - (by The Psychological Corporation) - used by many universities and graduate programs in their application process.
